For families traveling with children, nightlife is typically off-limits.

Thankfully, that's not the case at SeaWorld San Diego. Beginning in June, the renowned marine mammal park will remain open after dark for the summer season with Summer Nights, an array of activities that will keep your family entertained well past sunset.

After exploring SeaWorld's extensive daytime offerings, from the thrill of riding brand new roller coaster Manta to interacting with dolphins at Rocky Point Preserve, guests can hang out as the park reinvents itself come nightfall. Let's take a closer look at a few of the standout attractions.

  • Shamu Rocks: This 25-minute show sets the live aquatic acrobatics of killers whales to a rock and roll soundtrack, while lighting and multimedia effects add to the dazzling spectacle. Guests can expect to get wet!
  • Sea Lions Tonite: A nightime version of the popular daytime show "Sea Lions Live," this 20-minute performance has otters and sea lions participating in late night television-type sketches and interacting with their equally amusing human co-stars.
  • Club Atlantis: Kids will love this dance club (located near the Journey to Atlantis water coaster), where local DJs spin and dance troops perform under a canopy of disco lights and strobes.

As if that's not enough entertainment for one evening, each night concludes with a fireworks display sure to light up the park and the surrounding waterfront. For guests looking to make the experience even more affordable, the SeaWorld Silver Pass allows repeat admission for an entire year, free parking and food and merchandise discounts.
