Lauren Conrad's New Line Hits Stores

Lauren Conrad, who is perhaps reality TV's most successful alumni, has launched a new contemporary clothing line, Paper Crown. The new collection from the young designer — whose relatively short career spans fashion PR, clothing design, and numerous New York Times #1 tween best sellers — boasts a lot of blush-hued tailored basics, romantic maxi dresses, body-con cocktail attire, as well as some harder edged black leathers. The debut Fall 2011 collection hits stores tomorrow, and, piece by piece, clocks in at a relatively accessible $59 and $458.

Of her new endeavor, Conrad told WWD, "While I do consider the different moods and occasions of our customers, the concept and look of Paper Crown really began as an extension of myself: what I wanted to create and wear and enjoy. Each season may capture a different feeling or palette, but all very much in line with the direction of the brand. If I don't feel a connection with a style, I won't keep it in the final assortment."
