Pop-Ups: TenOverSix Fetes EDUN Shop-In-Shop

It was refreshing and encouraging to see so many fashion-forward dressed people in one place at the opening party for eco-minded label EDUN's temporary shop (up until November 16th) at TenOverSix.

It was a chill, relaxed atmosphere, with the bar in the adjacent old-world-reminiscent courtyard and the eco-friendly theme carried over to the food, provided by the Green Truck. Parked in front of the store and a perfect look-alike to the vans known throughout LA to stop by construction sites or schools to sell hot dogs or candy, the bites offered here were all organic appetizers of the heavenly kind.

The EDUN collection— founded by Ali Hewson and her husband Bono in 2005—consists of essentials for the Angelino: T-shirts, T-shirt dresses, knit vests, knit sweaters, silk tops and frocks. All in a very muted color palette of black, gray, white and plum. Even though the price point is above average ($65 for a T-shirt), the quality of the apparel, combined with the company’s philosophy (eco-friendly clothing to drive sustainable employment in developing communities), is so honorable and worth supporting that it’s definitely worth every penny.
