What You're Doing Tonight: May 19th

FM SUPERSTARS: Brotherly love and '70s-style vibes reign in Griffith as the Allman Brothers Band and the Doobie Brothers start a two-night gig at the Greek. We're thinking it must be a pleasure to groove along to the Allmans' "Jessica," one of classic rock's great instrumentals, under the stars on a May night. Oh, and the Doobies "Black Water" flows, too. May 19-20, 7PM.

FOODIE STAR SIGNS: She's making the rounds with her "200 Under 200" book, and now Lisa Lillien -- aka "Hungry Girl" -- stops by the Borders in Westwood to chat with calorie-counting fans. Will she take on the Rachaels and Giadas of the cooking-star world? We've seen the devotees lining up... 7PM

MUSICIAN AND MOVIE: Randy Newman. Right? The man is emblematic of our town, and we will consider "I Love LA" a sunny-pop anthem, always. So we like the idea of the songster discussing a dramatic film -- "How Green Was My Valley" -- that has music made by his uncle. Stuff like this: reason we love LA. Skirball Center, 7:30PM.
