An armed man was killed in a police shooting in Watts and an investigation into the shooting was underway Wednesday morning.
Officers responded about 11 p.m. Tuesday to the area of 113th Street and Wilmington Avenue, where the shooting occurred, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The man was hiding and lying near a parked car in a driveway and appeared to be holding a gun, which was pointed at officers, who opened fire and killed him.
It was unclear if the man fired at officers before he was shot or if any officers were injured.
