Fire crews were working to extinguish a three-alarm brush fire that had scorched more than 32 acres in Santa Clarita on Friday, officials said.
The fire erupted about 7:12 a.m. near Newhall Ranch Road and Copper Hill Drive, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
As of 1:50 p.m., the blaze was 65 percent contained, the fire department tweeted.

Voluntary evacuations were issued at Albert Einstein Academy located in the 28000 block of Kelly Johnson Pkwy, however no buildings or houses were damaged by the blaze, fire officials said.
Strong winds were posing difficult conditions for firefighters as a high wind warning was in effect in the Santa Clarita Valley with gusts up to 60 mph expected into Saturday, the National Weather Service said.
No injuries were reported.
