Truckers Flock to Long Beach Job Fair

Don't worry if you missed Tuesday's event. History tells us they'll do it again soon (hopefully).

Job seekers with a penchant for road trips (and paychecks) showed up Tuesday to a trucking job fair in Long Beach.

The event began at 10 a.m. and job offers were expected to made, the Long Beach Press-Telegram reported:

Job offers will be made at the recruitment, which will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m. at the Harbor WorkSource Center, 1851 N. Gaffey St., Ste. F, in San Pedro, and those selected to begin training on Dec. 7 could be working by the holidays at $350 to $990 per week, depending on experience, with immediate medical coverage and a 401k-retirement plan after 90 days.

It may be too late for Tuesday's recruitment session, but never fear. This isn't the first time CRST, one of the largest American trucking companies, has held a job fair. Previous events were held Oct. 6, Sept. 1 and Aug. 4.

Each event was announced on the city's website, so be sure to check here for any upcoming job fairs.
