Firefighters Knock Down Blaze in Hancock Park Condominium

A fire erupted in a four-story condominium complex in Hancock Park Sunday, officials said.

The blaze was reported around 1:13 p.m. in the 4000 block of Wilshire Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fire was confined to one heavily-damaged unit on the third floor of the building, LAFD said.

It took 55 firefighters to knock down the blaze in less than 30 minutes, LAFD said.

No injuries were reported.

LAFD advised people to avoid Wilshire Boulevard between Highland Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard during the cleaup.
