“Blue Note Bandit” Suspect Arrested

The "Blue Note Bandit" is the most prolific bank robber in recent Orange County History, Sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino said.

Authorities this morning announced the arrest of a suspect.  The alleged "Blue Note Bandit"" is believed responsible for 15 bank robberies in two months.

He got the nickname because he often handed bank tellers a note on blue paper, demanding money. It's unclear how much money was stolen during the string of robberies.

The subject was arrested Wednesday night in Laguna Niguel, the L.A. Times reported. Neighbors said the robbery suspect was a family man, according to the newspaper.
