Thieves looking to make a quick buck are turning to side-view mirror theft, according to Burbank Police, who reported six different cases of theft over the weekend.
"Obviously there’s a secondary market somewhere for these side-view mirrors," Sgt. Darin Ryburn said.
Ryburn said the glass mirrors cost can cost between 300 and 350 dollars each.

Owners of five late-model BMW vehicles and one Infiniti vehicle reported that one or both of their side-view glass mirrors had gone missing either Saturday or Sunday, according to police.
"Although they were in different areas of the city, we believe it was the same group of individuals," Ryburn said.

This isn’t the first time thefts like this have happened in Burbank. Last September, nine late-model Mercedes-Benz vehicles also lost their mirrors in a span of a couple of nights.
Burbank Police are advising residents to be on the lookout for any suspicious activity.
"If you see someone around the side of a car, call us," Ryburn said.
