Body of Woman Found in Mid-City

Police were investigating the discovery on Thursday of a woman's body in a driveway in Mid-City

Police on Friday were searching for clues into the death of a woman whose beaten body was found in a driveway of a home in the Mid-City district of Los Angeles.

Police found signs of a struggle inside the home of the woman, whose body was found by the husband around 5 p.m. Thursday in the 2100 block of South Redondo Boulevard, said LAPD Officer Sara Faden.

It did not appear that any valuables had been taken from inside home and it didn’t appear anyone had broken in, said LAPD Detective Mark Morgan.

Detectives were looking for help to find witnesses and clues from residents or business owners and were seeking whether there were any cameras that might have recorded what went down in the area.

Officials said it appeared the woman, who was in her 40s, died from blunt force trauma.
