Cool Days and High Surf

Expect warmer highs inland on Sunday, but cooler temps by Monday.

The first Sunday in June broke foggy and cool, great for vigorous morning activity but not so wonderful for sunning at the beach.

Temperatures are expected to near 80 degrees inland, but stay cool at the coast, with a high of 66 degrees in Santa Monica.

Sunday night will be cooler, with a low of 58 degrees expected in much of the region. Highs tomorrow will be in the mid-60s near the beaches and the mid-70s inland.

A coastal flood advisory is in effect for parts of Orange County. A swell is expected to increase the height of the surf by three to six feet. Beadches in northern San Diego County may also be affected.

The high surf is expected to begin Sunday at about 5 p.m., and last through Tuesday.
