Love Triangle Gets Sticky With Duct Tape: Police

Los Angeles police arrested a couple involved in a love triangle with an employee on suspicion of false imprisonment for allegedly binding the third wheel and his or her mate with duct tape, an officer said Wednesday.

Steve and Christina Ha, both 46, were arrested at a home in the 17200 block of Chase Street about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and bailed out around noon Wednesday, according to police and broadcast reports.

The couple own a nail salon. Police declined to name the victims, but both were found bound with duct tape.

"Detectives subsequently learned there was a love triangle involved," Officer Karen Rayner of LAPD Media Relations said.

KCAL reported that Steve and Christina Ha invited to the other couple over to talk about the situation, then bound them with duct tape and threatened them with a knife. No one was seriously hurt.
