Police are searching for two hit-and-run drivers involved in separate accidents over the holiday weekend.
An unidentified 32-year-old man was riding his bicycle around 2:30 a.m. Monday morning on Vista Del Mar near Dockweiler State Beach when he was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded to the location and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
On Sunday, a 34-year-old man was crossing the street east on Pacific Avenue at 14th Street when he was struck by a white Ford F-150 pick-up truck with tinted windows, LAPD said.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he later died.
The Ford F-150 was described as having large tires and a wide gold or silver stripe running along the body of the truck. It may have front end damage. There was no description of the driver.
