It's not a new technique, but knock-knock burglars in a nicer car are believed to be targeting Rancho Palos Verdes homes, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lomita Station said Tuesday.
Deputies were searching for a woman, caught on surveillance footage wearing yoga pants and flip flops, after she knocked on doors where burglaries took place in the 30600 block of Palos Verdes Drive East over the weekend.
Another person is seen sitting in a getaway car, described as a blue Nissan Altima with paper plates from Gardena Nissan on Saturday around 1 p.m.
Detectives were trying to locate the woman in the footage described as "20-25 years of age, with long dark hair, wearing a black shirt, black zip up jacket, black yoga type pants, and black flip flops."
"It was such a sweet safe neighborhood -- now I'm afraid," homeowner Judy Sannes said.
It was Sannes' doorbell that works as a camera and speaker that captured a stranger on her doorsteps.
"She knocked. I said, 'Can I help you?' She said, 'Oh, I have the wrong address' - immediately," Sannes said. "I was thinking 'this is not right.'"

Several neighbors reported getting a knock on their doors Saturday. The burglars broke into one house where no one was home, stealing cash and jewelry.
