Trucker Killed; Suspects in Custody

Police are searching for a motive in killing of truck driver.

Two men are expected to be charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a truck driver Wednesday morning as he drove onto the 10 Freeway, said Ontario police.

Police said they captured the two suspects after they fled the scene. One was sniffed out of bushes near a car dealership by an Ontario police dog.

Police say they don't yet know a motive, robbery obviously played a part. They say the suspected killers took the victim's wallet.

The 52-year-old trucker managed to pull himself from his cab after he was shot. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police have not yet released his name but say he was from Ivanhoe, in Tulare County.

One of his suspected killers is from Bell Gardens. The other is from Huntington Park.
