Hope you didn't forget to pack your umbrella.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected to pound Southern California until Sunday afternoon.

Rain is expected to start Friday afternoon and continue throughout the weekend. Up to three and a half inches of rain is expected along the coast and in the valleys, while the inland areas and foothills may get as much as six inches.

Local mountains could get up to two feet of snow from the coming storm, which is expected to bring lightning, hail and damaging winds along with it.

There's even a chance some small tornadoes may form.

Flash flood watches have been issued in parts of Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties, effective through Saturday evening.

Partly cloudy skies are expected by President's Day.
