Turbo Prop Plane Wing Clipped at LAX

There were no injuries in the incident at 8 p.m. on Friday

A turbo-prop being pushed back from a Los Angeles International Airport gate clipped the wing of another plane Friday night, but no one was injured.

Sky West Airlines Flight 6310, a Brazilia EMB 120 bound for Palm Springs, was being pushed back from Gate 71B of Terminal 7 around 8 p.m. when it clipped the wing of another Sky West plane of the same make and model, according to Albert Rodriguez of Los Angeles World Airports, the city agency which operates the airport.

The 28 passengers aboard the Palm Springs-bound flight were taken off the plane and would be placed on another flight, Rodriguez said. The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate, Rodriguez said.
