Police detained a man in Covina late Monday morning when he allegedly caused a disturbance on a bus with a container of gasoline that had an ignition device on it.
The unidentified man was taken into custody, but the area of East San Bernardino Road and North Irwindale Avenue remained closed as of noon while police investigate, according to Inspector Scott Miller, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
It exact nature of the device was not immediately clear.
There were no injuries immediately reported.
