The Los Angeles Angels will play their home opener Friday night against the Seattle Mariners at Angel Stadium, where changes include Coca-Cola becoming the soft drink provider and two new concession stands.
New concession stands include Oke Poke and Johnny Macs. Poke is a Hawaiian dish consisting of sliced, raw fish and various mix-ins. Oke Poke will offer poke burritos and bowls and another Hawaiian favorite, shaved ice. It is located on the third base food court.
Johnny Macs is a beef jerky distributor that can be found on the first and third base food courts, in sections 112 and 122 and Corner Market 221, 244, 317 and 334.
Two locations in the stadium have changed their names. The former Shocktop Brew Pub in Section 347 is now the Saint Archer Brewing Co. The Kettle One Club behind home plate is now the Don Julio Club.
Pregame ceremonies will including an Army color guard unfurling a 300-foot American flag in the outfield while a U.S. Air Force C-17 aircraft flies over the stadium.
Angels Hall of Fame pitcher Chuck Finley will throw the honorary first pitch. Finley holds franchise records for wins (165), games started (379) and innings pitched (2,675).
A band will perform by the home plate gate beginning at 5 p.m.
