Motorcyclist Gravely Injured in Collision With Fire Truck

A motorcyclist was gravely injured Wednesday in a collision with a fire truck in Orange.

Two firefighters sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the collision, which was reported about 4:40 p.m. in the area of Collins Avenue and Roberto Street, near where Collins transitions into Prospect Street, according to the Orange Police Department.

The rider was taken to a hospital as were two firefighters, police said. The crash closed eastbound Collins Avenue at Wanda Road and northbound Prospect Street at Bond Avenue. The California Highway Patrol was investigating the collision.
