While firefighters continue to work on containing the brush fires that have ripped through Los Angeles County, SoCalGas has begun to restore natural gas service in homes that were spared by the flames.

People from 135 houses in Rancho Palos Verdes are scrambling to find alternative options after SoCalGas cut off gas service Monday morning.

Dozens of families in Rancho Palos Verdes will not have gas after SoCal gas shuts off services due to the shifting land. John Cádiz Klemack reports for the NBC4 News at 4 a.m. on July 29, 2024. 

SoCalGas will no longer be providing service to some Rancho Palos Verdes residents, the company announced in a letter addressed to those impacted.
