Look, we don't knead to, and there's not a ton of dough in it, but it can help to butter people up, except those who loaf jokes about the staff of life.
So we're sending our favorite bread puns on the run while we slice up the celebration that's baking at Grand Central Market on Saturday, June 15.
It's the annual Bread Festival we're jamming on here, the 5th annual at the bustling Broadway bastion of bites.
As always, entry is free.
Does that mean that any rolls, biscuits, or pastries you purchase will also be complimentary? No, it does not, so plan on showing with dough if you'd like to nosh around.

A number of top-notch bread pros'll be there to host demos, and the vendors are as yummy as a baguette that's fresh from the oven.
On that chewy, filling, ultra-yummy list? Bread Bar, Colossus Bread, and Pop's Bagels, as well as several other bakeries sure to be wearing their best carb.
We mean "garb," of course.
Look also for the spreads we love to top our toast with, from nut butters to piquant jams. For, it is often said, that man cannot live on bread alone, but also requires a jalapeño jam, and a dollop of chive cream cheese, to make that bread tasty.
