Tune in to Life Connected: Black History Month Special

Tune in to NBC4 Southern California on Saturday, February 13 at 7 p.m. to watch "Life Connected: Black History Month" as we celebrate the accomplishments of icons in our local communities.

The award-winning special will include stories from several NBC4 reporters and anchors, including NBC4 Today in LA Reporter Toni Guinyard sharing the story of a local couple that has made it its mission to talk about the black history that isn't often in history books. NBC4 News at Noon Co-Anchor Michael Brownlee will talk to a well-known Compton-born rapper and how she uses her talents to teach kids struggling to read.  

Several other stories from NBC4 News at Noon Co-Anchor Carolyn Johnson, Chief Political Reporter Conan Nolan and Consumer Reporter Randy Mac include the story of the first woman and first African American rocket scientist and the history of West Adams, a prominent neighborhood in Los Angeles.

Also look for a series of Black History Month public service announcements that feature several anchors and reporters sharing what it means to them on both NBC4 and digital channel CoziTV.
