New Details Emerge About Enrique Marquez As San Bernardino Massacre Investigation Continues

Marquez described as a man who avoided confrontation.

New details emerged about Enrique Marquez, the man who police said supplied two assault rifles to the San Bernardino mass shooters.

Marquez worked as a doorman at Morgan's Tavern, a neighborhood bar in Riverside, and frequently visited a nearby comic book store.

Sources said Marquez always avoided confrontation and often went to the juke box and played hippie love songs.

Patrons at the bar who knew Marquez were shocked to learn about his connection to the San Bernardino mass shooter Syed Rizwan Farook.

Jerry Morgan, owner of Morgan's Tavern, said he knew Marquez.

"Does he look like a gun fanatic to you," Morgan asked. "No. He was just a mellow kid."

Marquez has been repeatedly questioned by the FBI since the San Bernardino mass shooting that killed 14 people and wounded 17 others.

Sources also said Marquez is now sharing information with authorities about a possible plan for a terrorist attack by Farook in 2012. He reportedly told investigators Farook hesitated after the arrest of several people he may have known.

FBI officials said those people arrested in the 2012 plot were not an attack in the U.S.

"There was never, in fact I'm certain of it, a credible threat to the U.S. We watched them for months and months and months," said David Bowdich, FBI Assistant Director in Charge.

On Thursday, FBI personnel focused their attention on a lake a few miles away from where the mass shooting occurred.

"We did have a lead, that indicated, the subjects came into this area," Bowdich said.

FBI officials did not specify what they were looking for but said they would resume the search Friday.

Marquez' mother was baffled to learn her son also had a secret Russian bride.

Morgan was surprised to learn Marquez may have been Muslim and attended mosque.

"Last time I checked, this ain't a mosque. And he never talked religion here," Morgan said.

Marquez has not been arrested or charged with any crime.
