Raise a Toast to the Elephants at Wine/Tune Party

Just hearing the mere words "summer series" can cause many people to slip into pretty sandals and a gossamer frock and start dreaming of sippable things that start with words like "pinot" and "sparkling"; throw in a major location and it's a lock. The gossamer's on, the sandals, too, and you're headed out.

The Wine, Jazz & Moonlight series at Hollywood & Highland promises all the elements in its title -- well, the "moonlight" could be iffy if there's fog, but that's romantic, too -- and more. Like: free music every Tuesday evening through the end of August. And, for a $10 donation (funds go to Project Angel Food), music- and moonlight-aficionados get two glasses of vino and something cheese-and-crackery. Jose Rizo's Jazz Latin Side All Stars start the series on June 2.

Everything's happening from 7-9PM in the Central Courtyard. We're already thinking of sitting back and gazing upon those enormous pachyderms, or maybe, in the distance, the perfectly framed Hollywood sign. Free (parking additional; wine/snacks $10) Tuesdays, June 2-August 25.
