Spring Is Here, With Dancing in the Streets

So long, Winter. Hello, Spring.   Friday rings in warmer, sunny days, short sleeves shirts and flip flops.   It's cause for celebration.

"Carnaval Primavera - Downtown Festival" is a weekend long party that takes over seven city blocks in downtown Huntington Park.  It's free.  You're only required to bring your  "Carnaval" spirit and the desire to celebrate in the streets.

The fun is set for April 3rd through 5th.  It blends L.A.'s international cultures with a big dash of Latino influence.  There are more than 150 booths selling everything from delicious, rich food to regional and folk art and crafts.  Of course, there will be two major concert stages.  Bring your dancing shoes!

Another highlight - amusement park rides.  Fair warning:  don't eat before they twist and turn you.  There will also be a FREE health fair.

It's a family atmosphere - something for just about everyone.  Last year, more than 300-thousand people attended over three days.

"Carnaval Primavera - Downtown Festival" is produced and presented by the Greater Huntington Park Area Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the city.

The Carnaval will be located along Pacific Boulevard in the heart of Huntington Park's shopping district.  For more information call 323-585-1155 or go to the Greater Huntington Park Area Chamber of Commerce website.
