Did Cary Grant sleep in this bed?
Did Elizabeth Taylor or Jackie Gleason sit in these chairs?
Did Marilyn Monroe find her beauty in this mirror?
It's possible.
In its heyday the Hotel Bel-Air was host to a bevy of rich and famous all throughout the Los Angeles area, and now much of the furnishings from the glamorous retreat will go on sale Thursday, at 10 a.m.
Hotel Bel-Air has embarked on an extensive refurbishment project that includes the renovation of all 91 rooms and suites, as well as the famous Champagne Bar and the hotel's restaurant.
To accommodate the ongoing renovations at the hotel, a liquidation company has removed the Hotel Bel-Air's furnishings to an offsite location.

The latest business news.
The five-star hotel furnishings will be sold from a sale venue at 1251 4th St. in Santa Monica (the former Circuit City store).
All items will be tagged, priced, and sold "AS IS, WHERE IS" on a first-come basis. The buyer will remove the purchases from the site. Payment by cash, Visa, or MasterCard only.
The Hotel Bel-Air started out as a real estate office, but was transformed in the 1940s into a complex full of lush, beautiful gardens along with guest rooms and suites. A Swan Lake was added to the picturesque front lawn completing a vision of a natural California oasis in the heart of the city.
Palm and ficus trees, along with perennial blooms filled the grounds. The hotel was also home to stables and a sparkling oval-shaped pool.
Hollywood celebrities and world dignitaries were frequent guests at the retreat.
"While numerous updates have been completed since the 1940s, the hotel has preserved its rustic tranquility and has maintained an international reputation as one of the finest hotels in the world," according to the hotel's website.
The Hotel Bel-Air is scheduled to open again in the middle of 2011.
