The body of a man was discovered on a hillside Monday morning near a Malibu beach.
Police identified the victim as Maurice Hilliard, athletic chaplain at Pepperdine University
Investigators were at the location in the 25800 block of Pacific Coast Highway Monday afternoon. Hilliard's body was discovered at about 9 a.m.
Several patrol cars were parked on the shoulder of PCH, just above where Hilliard's body was found. Sheriff's deputies removed the body from the beach at about 1:40 p.m.
Police ruled out foul play and were calling Hilliard's death either accidential or natural.
