Two Men Tied Up, Assaulted During Home Invasion Robbery in Mar Vista

Police did not have a description of the suspects.

Two men were tied up and and one of them were assaulted early Wednesday morning during a home invasion robbery in the Mar Vista area, police said.

The robbery was reported around 2:30 a.m. in the 3500 block of Centinnela Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Three masked men armed with a crow bar and sledgehammer forced their way into the home. The men then tied duct tape on the victims, according to the LAPD.

One of the men was struck in the face, which caused bruising and a bloody nose, police said.

Police said the robbers stole an Acura TSX from the residence. It was unclear what else was taken during the robbery.

The victims were able to free themselves from the duct tape and alert a neighbor who called 911, police said.

Police were investigating whether the robbers targeted the two victims.
