A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck Aguanga in Riverside County on Tuesday at approximately 6:24 p.m local time per the United States Geological Survey.
People called into NBC4 from as far away as Orange County to report that they felt the earthquake. Others in northern San Diego County reported feeling the rumble to NBC 7 San Diego.
A magnitude-3.0 aftershock also shook the same area at approximately 6:53 p.m. Pacific Time according to the USGS.
Aguanga is located about 20 miles east of Temecula.
