Crash Knocks Out Power to More Than 1,000 Customers in Gardena

The crash left multiple people injured at 10:15 p.m. in Gardena

A crash knocked out power to more than 1,000 homes and businesses in Gardena when power poles were knocked down Monday night, according to Southern California Edison.

The crash was reported at 10:15 pm at West 135th Street and South Normandie Avenue, said Ed Pickett, of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Multiple injuries were reported, but the number and nature of the injuries was not immediately known.

As of 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, 162 customers were still without power.
