Police on Sunday identified the adult suspect arrested in connection with a shooting that left one person in critical condition and another with leg wounds outside a Los Angeles High School.
Police identified Kevin Salazar, 18, as one of three people arrested in the shooting at 3:30 p.m. Friday near West Olympic and South Rimpau boulevards.
Salazar was being held at the Los Angeles County Jail with bail set at $500,000. He faces attempted murder charges.
Two other teenagers were arrested, including a 17-year-old student at LA High School, police said. Their names were not released because they are juveniles.
One victim suffered a gunshot wound to his back and was listed in critical condition at a local hospital, officials said. The other victim was taken to a local hospital, treated for a gunshot wound to the leg and released.
The shooting prompted officials to usher students away from the area as a precaution.
Police said the shooting was the result of ongoing gang conflict between two students.
