Anaheim police release surveillance photos of an armed robber who stopped his heist long enough for an employee to service a customer at a pharmacy.
An armed robber who held a gun to the head of a pharmacy employee and walked out with a bag of prescription drugs was caught on surveillance video in Anaheim last week. The robbery took place on Monday, April 27, at about 7:15 p.m.
Police said the robber walked behind the counter of the pharmacy in the 1000 block of North Euclid Street, pointed what appeared to be a handgun at two employees and told them to get down and not look at him.
Holding the gun to the head of one of the employees, the robber told the second employee to fill a bag with the prescription drugs Xanax and Oxycotin, but when a customer walked in, the robber told the second employee to help the customer first, police said.
After the customer left, the armed man "completed the robbery," according to a police statement, and then left the pharmacy.
Police said the robber took off his hood and beanie, exposing his face to a camera.
"The robber is described as a caucasion male, approximately 15-25 years of age, 175 pounds, and having a thin build. He has a light complexion, had short brown or black hair with sideburns and was clean shaven. He was wearing dark colored clothing, zip up hoodie pulled over a beanie, black or gray t-shirt and white tennis shoes. The bag was white in color," according to the police release.
