Multiple wildfires broke out across Southern California Thursday, Oct 10, with one fire burning hundreds of acres within 90 minutes.
The fire, located near Interstate 10 in Calimesa, destroyed multiple mobile homes at Sandalwood Mobile Home Park and forced evacuations for several other structures, including Mesa View Middle School.
Meanwhile, another fire north of Moreno Valley burned additional hundreds of acres while firefighters battled intense winds. Within an hour, the flames were approaching residences and evacuations were ordered.
Another fire, in Fontana north of Interstate 10, caused some damage to homes but was fully contained by about 3 p.m.
