Ukraine Crisis

In a letter signed by Father Brian Nunes, the Archdiocese’s vicar general, and Monsignor Terrance Fleming, executive director of the Archdiocese’s Mission Office, church officials asked local parishes to take special collections for Ukraine during the weekends of March 12-13 and March 19-20.

A Wicker Park woman is planning to travel back to Ukraine in coming days to help fight against Russia, saying she has bought a one-way ticket as she seeks to defend the country where she was born.
