An unvaccinated woman is the first pregnant San Diego woman to die from COVID-19, county health officials said.

A 43-year-old woman from Victorville, who delayed getting vaccinated because she was pregnant, has miscarried and is now on a ventilator after getting infected with COVID-19. Angie Crouch reports for NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on Sept. 14, 2021.

New and expectant moms are getting some potentially great news when it comes to rolling up their sleeves for the COVID–19 vaccine.

It is a situation that sometimes does not end well: an expectant mother coming down with COVID-19. In the case of an Upland mother to be, her COVID-19 worsened so much that two lives were imperiled, and two emergency procedures were required.
