Where were you in 1927? If you were but a tot, and a film-loving tot at that, and you called Tinseltown home, you might have seen Sid Grauman's extraordinary cinema in its very first days. The theater will honor its big 90th in May by kicking off National Historic Preservation Month on Monday, May 1. The movie set to screen? Director Cecil B. DeMille's "Cleopatra," from 1934, with Claudette Colbert. Hollywood Heritage, TCL Chinese Theater, NBCUniversal and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association are all partners in the landmark celebration.
