Do you want the recipe for those yummy apple brownies? Well, look no further because here is the step-by-step "secret recipe" and all you need to make the delicious goodness for yourself, your family or your next party.

APPLE BROWNIES

Ingredients:

1/2 c. Brown Sugar   1 tsp. Baking Powder
1/4 c. Margarine, softened   1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract   3/4 c. Granny Smith Apples,
pealed and chopped
1 c. All Purpose Flour   3/4 c. Pecans, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl beat brown sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, beating well. Stir in flour, baking powder and cinnamon; mix well. Fold in apples and nuts. Spread evenly in lightly greased 8- or 9-inch square pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cut into bars and roll in powdered sugar or serve with Pecan Praline Topping.

Pecan Praline Topping

1/4 c. Margarine   2 T. Whole Milk
3/4 c. Brown Sugar, packed   1 tsp. Vanilla
3/4 c. Pecans, chopped    

While brownies are baking, melt margarine in microwave safe bowl. Add brown sugar, chopped pecans, milk and vanilla. Mix well and spread over hot brownies. Return to oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, then broil for 3-4 minutes.
